Role: Intern Designer

 I have an oppotunity to work as a graphic design intern at S.O.S Educational Consultant during the summer of 2025, alongside my instructor, Miss Hanna Truong.

At S.O.S, I help Hanna design posters, GIFs, short videos, and asset templates for social media platforms like Facebook, Instagarm and Tiktok. I also do research data about the study abroad market between Canada and Vietnam. Together, we try to include trendy memes and funny catchphrases from Vietnamese social media to connect with more young students. We also build event and activity schedules to not only reach new students who haven’t heard about S.O.S yet but also stay connected with those who’ve already used its services.

This internship has really helped me understand more about office culture, how a company works, and what makes a good design. It’s also taught me how to manage my time better to meet deadlines and deliver designs that fit the company’s needs.

  • Miss Hanna Truong gave me a personal project to help her create a mascot for her Instagram account which she uses mainly to interact with students in a more playful way, separate from the more formal vibe of the company’s account.
  • The mascot, named Nger, was inspired by Vietnamese student uniforms and incorporates the red maple leaf, a symbol of Canada.
